Illinois Canyon

Length

45 min

Difficulty

Easy

About the Hike:

Although it has the smallest waterfall in the park, the hike to it is stunning. Sandstone caverns, small rainwater fed waterfalls, and a wide rushing creek coupled with overall low trail traffic create one of the most gorgeous and peaceful hikes in the entire park. Expect to get your shoes wet!

Suggested Route:

Start at the Illinois Canyon parking lot and begin at the trailhead. Out and Back is mainly the same trail with a few off-shoots. Around a 1 mile roundtrip.

Difficulty:

Easy

Short, flat hike with no stairs or elevation. However, you will need to cross the creek a few times to reach the end.
